Maasai Cultural Village Experience
Overview
The culture is a distinctive character of this fascinating ancestry group of noble people (Maasai) with beautiful and interesting stories every visitor would never want to miss through Maasai Cultural day trip.
Unlike many other tribes in Tanzania, the Maasai are semi-nomadic pastoralists inhabiting northern Tanzania. They live by herding cattle and goats and still exist on a diet of milk, blood, and meat. Nowadays, it is becoming very common in places for the Maasai to supplement their diet with grain.
The Maasai Cultural Villages are a good stop for anyone wanting to spend a day/ night in an authentically constructed Maasai boma or learn about Maasai traditions. You should know that the Maasai have not fared well in modern Africa. They still make their homes in circular enclosures protected by thorny makeshift fences keeping their cattle at the center of the ‘BOMA’ (home).
