Frankly speaking we went Tarangire after Ngorongoro craters and expectations was high. Immediately after entry we saw group of elephants and we are so excited but after that really finding animals in big bushes are challenging.
Saw lots of elephants 🐘 giraffes 🦒 monkeys 🐒 warthogs different species of birds.
For picnic spots are available where you can have your lunch. Don’t throw anything in the park take your waste back along with you.
Highly recommended for safari but before you visit research for the right session to visit.

Tarangire reminded me a lot of Shimba Hills in Kenya, with a lot more to offer of course – however, animals seen were far and few between the drive. It was scenic and we were blessed to have seen elephant herds and giraffes up close, a cheetah in a distant tree with its backside to us. You need a great camera or binoculars to be able to see some animals. The birds there were stunning with lovely colours to show. Our driver, Moses, was very knowledgeable and explained tirelessly what what was.

I was a bit disappointed with Tarangire and hoped for more at the Ngoro Ngoro Crater.

Tarangire was a surprise favorite! If you love elephants, Tarangire is the place! We saw huge herds of elephants, sometimes more than 30 at once, including babies. It was amazing to watch them up close. The baobab trees all over the park give it such a unique look too. Peaceful, not too crowded, and full of wildlife. Definitely worth adding to your safari route!
